Spring 2024 |
Building on the success of the Aortic Valve Database, these international databases have been developed to ensure a robust patient cohort. This will facilitate the evaluation of surgical guidelines, as well as the decision-making process regarding valve repair versus replacement in cases of valve stenosis or regurgitation. It will ascertain a systematic uniform registration of patient characteristics, in-depth procedural aspects and follow-up.
The registry is open for participation from centers that perform these specialized interventions. Patients can be included consecutively or as part of a project. Projects enable centers to enroll specific patient groups within a set timeframe, and we welcome centers to propose new projects or join existing ones.
Centers specializing in these interventions are encouraged to apply. To apply or propose a project, please contact us.

In addition, we are gearing up for the HVS Aortic Valve Database’s transition from Telemedicine Technologies to Castor EDC. Effective January 1, 2025, the Aortic Valve Database will be hosted on Castor EDC, ensuring continuity and enhanced efficiency in our data management practices. Participating centers will receive concise instructions for a smooth transition to the new platform. Our team is dedicated to upholding data integrity and patient care standards and will offer training and support for any inquiries.
