Focus on data quality and follow-up data
Complete and long-term data are essential for accurately assessing patient outcomes following valve treatment. Over the coming year, our shared focus for the HVS AV Database will be on improving data quality and completing long-term follow-up, including echocardiographic measurements. As a result, new patient enrollment will be deprioritized.

To support this effort, the data management team provides center-specific feedback reports that highlight opportunities for data optimization. These reports identify missing data, follow-up gaps, and any inconsistencies that require correction.

Our team is available to schedule support sessions to help process and implement this feedback. We sincerely appreciate your continued commitment to maintaining the highest standards in clinical research data.

Project Deadlines – HVS Mitral Tricuspid Valve Database
We are pleased to announce three upcoming research projects within the HVS Mitral Tricuspid Valve Database:
#1 Clinical and Echocardiographic Results of Mitral Valve Repair for Secondary Mitral Valve Regurgitation: Start date: October 1, 2025: End date: October 1, 2026: Follow-up period: Until 2027. #2 The evolution of ventricular arrhythmias after mitral valve surgery in patients with Mitral Valve Prolapse and an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator: a multicenter: Final data entry deadline: November 1, 2025. #3 The Effect of Post-repair Mitral Valve Geometry and Function on the Incidence of Recurrent Mitral Regurgitation

Centers with expertise in these interventions are strongly encouraged to participate. View project details.
